The growth, dedicated staff, and consistent mission of Unison Health have positioned it well for continued success as the organization welcomes their new President/CEO, Jeff De Lay.

Mr. De Lay was the former Chief Operating Officer at Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority in Detroit, Michigan. As the COO, he helped guide the successful rebid of $450 million dollars in managed care contracts while reorganizing managed care operations, developed and implemented a new community based crisis services program to include 23 mobile crisis teams, integrated SUD services into one delivery model reducing administrative costs, took the Wayne County Autism program from "worse to first," and was appointed by Governor Snyder to the statewide Autism Commission. Prior to his position with the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority, he held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Business Operations and Corporate Compliance Officer at Genesee Health System (formerly Genesee Community Mental Health).

Mr. De Lay holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Michigan. Additionally, Mr. De Lay is a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve, where he has served for over 20 years.

The community can be assured that the high standards of care, service and values created under the direction of Dr. Larry E. Hamme and Courtney Weiss will continue under Mr. De Lay’s leadership.

Chief Operating Officer

Pamela received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. With over 30 years of experience in clinical care and non-profit administration, Pamela oversees the clinical operations of Unison Health that benefit both adults and children in our community.  “The integrated care provided at Unison is amazing!” says Pamela.  “I am privileged to be part of an organization that creates hope every day for so many individuals and their families.”

Tufal-KhanChief Clinical Officer / Medical Director

Dr. Tufal Khan attended medical school at the University of Peshawar in Pakistan. He served his psychiatry residency at Kansas University Medical Center and attended SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Khan is dually board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Dr. Khan’s passion for psychiatry is underscored by his commitment to Unison Health's patients. Dr. Khan says, “Meeting the individual needs of my patients proves to me that hope is real.”

Human Resources Director jamie haack

Jamie attended the University of Toledo where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Afterward, she earned her Senior Professional Certification in Human Resources Management through the Human Resources Certification Institute. “I love working in HR because of the variety it offers. I have the opportunity to interact with people on a daily basis and the ability to positively impact agency operations and strategic plans,” she said. Jamie has nearly 30 years of experience in human resources, nine of which have been at a behavioral facility, and she serves as the 2012-2013 Chair of Ohio Council’s Human Resources /Member Services Committee.

Stacy HolmanDirector, Finance

What began with earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Bowling Green State University has led Stacy to an 18-year career in accounting and finance.

At Unison Health, Stacy uses her skills to contribute to our clients’ quality of life by ensuring the agency has adequate funding in place to provide the much-needed support services we offer.

Jennifer Wineland

Director, Adult SPMI Services

Jennifer began her career in behavioral health at Unison Health after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Toledo. She later earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.

After 20 years, Jennifer says she “love[s] the clients, their joy and appreciation of the successes they achieve, and seeing progress and change in individuals.”

ashley kopaniaszDirector of AOD Services

Originally from Louisiana, Ashley obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northwestern State University in  Natchitoches, La. After two years working with dually diagnosed adolescents, she moved to the Midwest. She began working at Unison as a case manager while completing her Master of Arts in Community Health at the University of Toledo and wore several treatment hats within the agency before her current position as AOD Director.

After nine years at Unison she shares “I feel honored to be part of my clients journey in recovery. Recovery is not an easy journey, but is one that is possible!”.

Amy KoboldDirector of Performance Improvement

Amy attended the University of Toledo where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Counselor Education.

Amy’s passion for helping people is unmistakable. Her ability to lead and train other clinicians in the delivery of superior care is an asset to the organization. “Training clinicians to develop the confidence they need to reach their individual potential is my daily goal. Our clients are unique and deserve the best care we can deliver.”

Marsha Elliott

Director, Adult Mild/Moderate Services

Marsha attended the University of Toledo where she received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling.

Marsha began her career as a mental health associate working with children in an inpatient setting. Later in her career she began her work with older adults in the outpatient setting. While she enjoyed both of these settings, it was community mental health that provided her with the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages. As the Director of Access and Assessments, Marsha oversees the clinicians who are first to engage our clients. Her team’s ability to provide positive reinforcement to clients seeking behavioral health services is critical. It is during this encounter that clients will begin to plan their pathway to recovery. “Making the choice to access behavioral health services is not always easy. My role is to ensure our assessors instill a feeling that hope is possible for all of our clients.”

Aimee DrescherDirector, Psychological Services

Dr. Drescher is an integral part of Unison Health's multidisciplinary team. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Drescher manages the psychological testing – including neuropsychological testing – of the adults, children and families Unison is privileged to care for. In addition, Dr. Drescher is lending her expertise to Unison Health's Children's Partial Hopsitaliztion program as well as training and supervising students working towards their doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at Bowling Green State University. Her passion for helping others is evidenced by her practice subspecialty areas which include: autism spectrum disorders, working with high-risk teens, LGBTQ needs and eating disorders.

Dr. Drescher is enthusiastic about the future of integrated behavioral health care and will work diligently to improve access and delivery of psychological services to Unison Health clients.

After thirty years in behavioral health services, Melanie still loves working with a team of people who are passionate, talented, and motivated to improve the quality of our consumers’ lives.



Kitty SlightMarketing Manager

With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo and 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations, Kitty has served as Unison Health's Marketing Manager for 7 years.
